Marvin Bakalorz (born September 13, 1989 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with Denizlispor in Turkey .
childhood
Marvin Bakalorz was born in Offenbach am Main when his father Dirk (* 1963) was playing for Eintracht Frankfurt at the time . He grew up in Raesfeld in North Rhine-Westphalia .
Career
Bakalorz began playing soccer in the youth department of TGS Jügesheim, a club from Rodgau in the Offenbach district, where his father had also played from 1994 to 1996. After his father's career ended and the family moved to Münsterland, he joined TSV Raesfeld and later Westfalia Gemen. He then moved to the youth department of Preußen Münster , for which he played for six years.
In 2008 he was used in the first team that played in the fourth-class Regionalliga West . In his first season he could not fight for a regular place and only came to 18 missions. In the following season he was denied a regular place, Bakalorz was used 16 times. On April 16, 2010 (29th matchday) he scored a goal in the 4-0 home game against Rot-Weiss Essen with the opening goal in the 7th minute.
In 2010 he moved to Borussia Dortmund's second team , for whom he played his first game on August 7, 2010 (1st matchday) in the 1: 3 defeat in the away game against 1. FC Köln II . In this game he also scored his first goal, the goal for the interim 1: 2 in the 70th minute. Bakalorz was a regular player and completed 29 games by the end of the season, in which he scored four goals. On June 9, 2011, Bakalorz received his first professional contract of his career from BVB. He belonged in the season 2011/12 the Bundesliga cadres of Dortmund and was without the use of German champions and DFB Cup winner. He also did not play a game for the first team in the 2012/13 season. He was still only used in the second team, with which he rose to the 3rd division in the summer of 2012 .
For the 2013/14 season , Bakalorz moved to Eintracht Frankfurt . The parties have agreed not to disclose the transfer fee. There he first played for the second team. On December 1, 2013 (14th matchday) he made his Bundesliga debut in the 2-0 defeat in the away game against Hannover 96 when he came on for Inui in the 64th minute . He made his European debut for Eintracht Frankfurt on December 12, 2013 in the Europa League against APOEL Nicosia .
To get match practice, he was loaned to the second division SC Paderborn 07 during the winter break of the same season . After good performance, the agreed purchase option was drawn by SC Paderborn and Bakalorz was firmly committed. With the SCP he was second in the table in the second division season 2013/14 and rose to the Bundesliga. Despite the direct relegation in the following season , he remained loyal to the East Westphalia and was appointed the new captain of the SCP after the departure of the previous captain Uwe Hünemeier in August 2015.
After SC Paderborn was relegated again at the end of the 2015/16 season , he switched to the Bundesliga relegated Hannover 96 for the 2016/17 season . The season ended with the direct return of Hanover, which meant Bakalorz's second promotion to the Bundesliga in his career. At the beginning of March 2019, Bakalorz was appointed by coach Thomas Doll as the successor to Waldemar Anton as captain of the relegation-threatened Bundesliga team. At the end of the season he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga with Hannover 96. Before the 2019/20 season, Bakalorz extended his expiring contract until June 30, 2022. He kept his place in the defensive and central midfield, but missed the end of the season due to a rib injury and failed with the team on direct promotion. In the summer of 2020, the club and the players who “parted on good terms” agreed to terminate their contract early.
A few days later, the Turkish first division club Denizlispor announced the German's commitment.
