The district Mianwali is an administrative district in Pakistan in the province of Punjab . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Mianwali .
The district has an area of 5840 km² and according to the census of 2017 1,546,094 inhabitants. The population density is 265 inhabitants / km². The Punjabi language is spoken by the majority in the district .

The district is located in the north of the Punjab Province, which is in the west of Pakistan.

Demographics
Between 1998 and 2017, the population grew by 2.02% annually. Around 21% of the population live in urban regions and around 79% in rural regions. 774,060 men, 771,995 women and 39 transgender people live in 238,006 households , resulting in a gender ratio of 100.3 men per 100 women, which is a common surplus for Pakistan.
