Life

Kreibich grew up in the GDR . From 1994 to 2000 he attended the State Ballet School and Artistic School in Berlin . From 2002 to 2006 he completed acting training at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . During his studies he had his first stage engagements at the Berliner Ensemble and the Staatstheater Stuttgart . At the Berliner Ensemble in 2006, directed by Thomas Langhoff, he took part in the German-language premiere of the play Desecration by Botho Strauss , a free adaptation of Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus .

After completing his acting training, Kreibich mainly worked as a theater actor . He had his first permanent engagement from 2006 to 2009 at the Deutsches Theater Berlin . There he played among others: Sebastian in Was ihr wollt (premiere: August 2008; director: Michael Thalheimer ), Bruno Mechelke in Die Ratten (premiere: 2008, director: Michael Thalheimer), the title role in Caligula by Albert Camus (Box des Deutschen Theater, premiere: September 2008; director: Jette Steckel ), the title role in Baal (premiere: April 2009; director: Christoph Mehler ) and Jason in the Berlin premiere of the play Pornography by Simon Stephens (Box des Deutschen Theaters, season 2008/09 ; Director: Christoph Mehler).

In almost all theater reviews, Kreibich's performance, his body-hugging acting and his unconditional embodiment of the roles are emphasized. In the Berlin production of Baal , he actually cut himself with a piece of glass ; During a guest appearance at the Thalia Theater with Caligula in Shanghai , Kreibich finished the performance despite a broken cheekbone .

Other roles at the Thalia Theater were: Rosenkranz and Güldenstern (as double roles) in Hamlet (premiere: September 2010, director: Luk Perceval ), viola / Sebastian (as double role) in Was ihr wollt (premiere: November 2010; director: Jan Bosse ) and the title role in Don Karlos (premiere: January 2011; director: Jette Steckel). Since 2006, Kreibich has also played a few film and television roles. However, the focus of his work as an actor is still theater work.

In this Lena Odenthal case, Kreibich played the role of Florian Weigold, a young drug addict who attacked a gas station and shot a police officer while chasing him. In 2010, Kreibich was awarded the Günter Strack TV Prize for his “impressive and touching” theatrical portrayal of a teenager who had gone off track .

He also played a leading role in the ZDF television series Coast Guard ; in the episode Duel without Mercy (2009) he played the role of Ole Thorwesten, a competitive sailor standing in the shadow of his brother . He was also seen in episode roles in the crime series SOKO Wismar (2008, as sailor Tobias Wiese in the episode Der blonde Hans with Diane Willems as a partner), Großstadtrevier and SOKO Cologne (2009). In the 6th season of the ZDF series Bettys Diagnose (2019), Kreibich took on one of the main episode roles as watchmaker Christian Seidel, who comes to the clinic with an inflamed index finger and osteolysis .
