Ellen Hellwig
Ellen Hellwig (* 1946 in Trondheim , Norway ) is a German actress , radio play and voice actress .
Life
Ellen Hellwig was born in Trondheim, Norway in 1946. From 1967 to 1971 she studied at the "Hans Otto" theater school in Leipzig . From 1971 on she was four decades ensemble member at the spectacle of Leipzig , where she with directors such as Matthias Brenner , Christina Emig-Könning , Wolfgang Engel , Dietrich Kunze . Alexander Lang , Konstanze Lauterbach , Enrico Luebbe , Armin Petras and Michael Thalheimer worked .
After Sebastian Hartmann, as Centraltheater director, wanted to "reinvent" the theater, which the public perceived as dogmatic showmanship, Hellwig left Leipzig like several other directors ( Jorinde Dröse ) and members of the ensemble (Vulesica and Henrike von Kuick ).
In the 2010/2011 season, Ellen Hellwig switched to the ensemble of the Schauspiel Chemnitz . There she played 2010/2011 in "Dona Rosita or The Language of Flowers" by Federico García Lorca and in 2012 Queen Margarete in Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy by Witold Gombrowicz . In summer 2012 she will appear on stage as Maude in Harold and Maude by Colin Higgins .
In the course of her career, Ellen Hellwig has also worked in TV feature films and series, both for DEFA and in the decades after the fall of the Berlin Wall. She also works as a radio play and dubbing speaker . In 1979 she dubbed the Czech actress Libuse Safránková in The Prince and the Evening Star
