Günther Grabbert
Günther Grabbert , partly also Günter , (born January 15, 1931 in Schwerin , † December 15, 2010 in Leipzig ) was a German actor .
Career
Günther Grabbert came from the amateur play movement and he played his first roles in performances by a group of the Society for German-Soviet Friendship at the Pushkin House in Schwerin . From 1950 to 1953 he studied acting at the Deutsches Theater-Institut Weimar Schloss Belvedere . From 1956 he belonged to the ensemble of the Leipzig theater .
Grabbert, actually a member of the Leipziger Schauspielhaus , was a very busy actor, especially in the GDR cinema , for example in 1962 in a description of a summer after Karl-Heinz Jakobs .
As a voice actor he lent his German voice to Lex Barker .
On the theater stage, Günther Grabbert played almost all the big roles - both Faust and Mephisto, Richard III, Karl Moor, King Lear, Peer Gynt, Galileo Galilei, Goya, Nathan and Falstaff.
As a reciter he was on the road with his own literary programs - after the fall of the Wall all over Germany - including texts by Goethe , Schiller , Ringelnatz and Wilhelm Busch , mostly accompanied by the guitarist Frank Fröhlich. His lecturing skills were also recorded on phonograph records and audio books. One of his first publications in this regard was a record with Josef Čapek's stories about the little dog and the kitten .
In 1986, as a member of the actors' collective for the television film Ernst Thälmann, he received the National Prize, Second Class for Art and Literature.
Even after the reunification, Grabbert continued to appear in film and television. Until the end he lived in the Leipzig district of Gohlis.
