The ships of the Moma class (Project 861) are the largest survey ships of the Soviet / Russian Navy and were built between 1967 and 1974 at the Polish North Shipyard (Stocznia Północna SA) in Gdansk . All survey vessels have a 7- t - crane and as a buoy used.

The official name is Probably Gidrogafitscheskoje Sudno (GS) ( German  Hydrographisches Vermessungsschiff ).

The Moma-class ships were exported or modified for other purposes. A reconstruction to a reconnaissance ship is the project 861M, which is classified as Probably Maly Raswedjatelnije Korabl (MRK) ( German  Small reconnaissance ship ).
