The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane DOCG is an Italian red wine and the only DOCG wine from the Abruzzo region . Since 2003 it has had a "controlled and guaranteed designation of origin " ( Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita - DOCG), which was last updated on March 7, 2014. From 1968 to 2003 the wine belonged to the denomination Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC.

Cultivation

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane must consist of at least 90% of the Montepulciano grape variety . A maximum of 10% Sangiovese may be added.

The wine must mature for at least a year. With the quality label "Riserva" it must mature for at least three years, of which at least one year in wooden barrels and two months in the bottle.
