Moss of the year

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In 2005, the moss of the year was awarded for the first time by the Bryological-Lichenological Working Group for Central Europe (BLAM). The aim is to draw attention to a little-noticed group of plants that are represented in Germany with more than 1000 species and that offer people great benefits.

Previous moss of the year (Germany, since 2011 also Austria)

Since 2011, the title Moos of the Year (Germany) has been taken over by its neighbor Austria.
