NGC 7638 = IC 1483 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type S in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is an estimated 363 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 7627 , NGC 7630 , NGC 7639 , IC 1484 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Andrew Ainslie Common on August 8, 1880 .
