To the southeast of the city is Nadym Airport ( IATA airport code NYM, ICAO code : USMM ). The Arctic Circle Railway, which was largely completed but then not put into regular operation , ran past the village on the Salekhard - Urengoy section, with the exception of the bridge over the Nadym . In the 1970s it was reactivated for freight traffic from the east, from Novy Urengoy to Stary Nadym. The restoration of the railway line and the construction of a year-round road connection to Salekhard and a road and rail bridge over the Nadym in the direction of Stary Nadym instead of a pontoon bridge (during the ice-free period) or ice road are currently ambitious infrastructure projects in the vicinity of the city Bridge construction should be completed by the end of 2015 after delays. The road section of the bridge was opened in September 2015, and the following December it was decided not to continue building the rail section.

education

Nadym is the seat of a branch of the Tyumen State University, the Moscow Psychological and Sociological University and other educational institutions.
