Naryschkino ( Russian Нары́шкино ) is an urban-type settlement in the Oryol Oblast ( Russia ) with 9584 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The settlement is in the watershed between the left Oka -Nebenflüssen Zon and Orlik, well 20 kilometers in a straight line west of the center of Oblasthauptstadt Oryol .
Naryschkino is the administrative center of the Rajons Uritzky and only location of the municipality (gorodskoje posselenije) Naryschkino.
history
The site was created in connection with the construction of the railway line Riga - Oryol state Riga-Oryol Railway (Rigo-Orlowskaja schelenaja doroga). The Vitebsk - Oryol section went into operation on November 24, 1868; this year is also considered to be the founding year of the place, which was named after Alexander Naryshkin (1839-1916), the largest landowner in the area and since 1866 chairman of the Zemstvo Office of the Orjol governorate , later governor of the Podolia governorate and member of the State Council . Towards the end of the 19th century, the merchant Mudrow founded a small machine factory for the manufacture of agricultural equipment.
With the establishment of the Uritski district on July 30, 1928, Naryshkino became its center. In 1938 the place received the status of an urban-type settlement.
During the Second World War , Naryschkino was occupied by the German Wehrmacht in early October 1941 and recaptured by the Red Army in August 1943 . During the fighting, the place was almost completely destroyed.

economy
There are food and light industries in Naryshkino.
The settlement is located on the Oryol - Bryansk - Smolensk railway line (30 km). The A141 highway runs through Naryschkino , which also connects Orjol with Smolensk and continues to the Belarusian border in the direction of Vitebsk.
