The national road 209 ( Chinese  209 国 道 , Pinyin 209 Guódào , English China National Highway 209 ), Chinese abbreviation G209 , is a 3,435 km long north-south trunk road in east and south China in the area of ​​the autonomous regions inner Mongolia and Guangxi and the provinces of Shanxi , Henan , Hubei and Hunan . It leads from Hohhot via Qingshuihe , Wuzhai , Lishi , Jiaokou , Daning , Xiangning , Yuncheng , Sanmenxia , Lingbao , Lushi , Shiyan , Badong , Laifeng , Baojing , Mayang , Huaihua , Sanjiang , Liuzhou , and Lingshan to the coastal city of Beihai on the south coast .
