Neuekrug is a district of the borough Diesdorf in Altmark Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt , Germany.
geography
The Altmark street village of Neuekrug is located about five kilometers northwest of Diesdorf and 25 kilometers southwest of the district town of Salzwedel . In the east of the village rises the Dumme, which from Dehre is called Salzwedeler Dumme . The Ise rises in the west .
history
The present village was first mentioned in 1745 as Neue Krug , a pitcher with a windmill that belonged to Reddigau. In 1833 a farm with a mill was named, in 1871 and 1885 a colony Neuekrug (residential area of Reddigau). In 1931 the "Neue Krug colony" became a residential area of Höddelsen .
The windmill stood south of the village on a nameless mountain about 90 meters high.
In 1955, the first type III agricultural production cooperative, the LPG “New Life”, was founded.
Incorporations
On July 1, 1950, the communities Höddelsen and Reddigau from the district of Salzwedel merged to form a new community of Neuekrug, which was reclassified to the district of Salzwedel on July 25, 1952 . On July 1, 1994 she came to the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel.
Until the end of 2009, the community of Neuekrug with its districts Höddelsen, Neuekrug and Reddigau (with the locations Reddigau-Ort and Reddigau-West) was a member of the Beetzendorf-Diesdorf administrative community .
The local council of the community of Neuekrug decided on May 13th, 2009 an area change agreement in order to forestall the threat of compulsory allocation, so that the community was incorporated into the district of Diesdorf against its actual will. This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.
With the incorporation of the community of Neuekrug into the community of Flecken Diesdorf on January 1, 2010, the districts of Höddelsen, Neuekrug and Reddigau became part of Diesdorf.
