Administrative association Beetzendorf-Diesdorf

In the administrative community Beetzendorf-Diesdorf in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in northwest Saxony-Anhalt , 14 communities were united until December 31, 2009. It was replaced by the Association of Beetzendorf-Diesdorf .

The administrative community was created on January 1, 2005 by amalgamating the dissolved administrative communities Beetzendorf (15 municipalities) and Diesdorf-Dehre (10 municipalities).

The seat of the administrative community was the municipality of Beetzendorf . On December 31, 2008, 13,697 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​494.29 km². The official community key was 01508102. Most recently, Christiane Lüdemann was the head of the administrative community.

The following mergers / incorporations took place on January 1st, 2009:

  • the municipalities of Bonese, Dehre and Lagendorf merged to form the new municipality of Dehre
  • the communities of Ahlum, Bierstedt and Rohrberg merged to form the new community Rohrberg
  • the municipalities of Bandau, Jeeben, Hohentramm, Mellin and Tangeln gave up their independence and were incorporated into the municipality of Beetzendorf

On July 1, 2009, the communities of Ellenberg and Gieseritz as well as Wallstawe from the administrative community of Salzwedel-Land joined the VG Beetzendorf-Diesdorf. Together they formed the new community of Wallstawe. The former community Altensalzwedel (also from the VG Salzwedel-Land) merged with the Apenburg and Winterfeld communities to form the new Apenburg-Winterfeld district.
