geography

The Neumühle is located about 2 km north-northwest of the center of Dentlein on the northern edge of the Dentlein Forest surrounding the community seat at about 456  m above sea level. NHN . The mill stands on the right bank of the Neumüllersbach moving to the northeast , which immediately before and just in the Thürnhofen subdivision of the town of Feuchtwangen flows through the at least formerly Sägweiher called Mühlweiher and drains over its upper reaches the Mittelbach to the Feldbach , then on to the Lassenbach and the Sulzach .

The Neumühle has a close structural connection with the Dentlein village of Kaierberg, a little further down the stream. The village of Thürnhofen is located about 1.3 km to the west on the upper Mittelbach . Coming from this place, the state road 2222 passes the Neumühle on the northern edge and then continues eastwards in the direction of Wieseth .

history

Neumühle was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . The manor Thürnhofen of the Lords of Völderndorf had the manorial rule over the grinding mill . Nothing in these conditions had changed by the end of the Old Kingdom (1806). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century) Neumühle was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Thürnhofen .

In 1871 the place consisted of three buildings and belonged to the Protestant parish and the school district of Dentlein. There were three horses and three cattle. Until at least 1880 Neumühle was run as a district of the former municipality of Thürnhofen, from the census of 1885 the place is no longer listed separately as a locality.

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Neumühle was initially incorporated into Aichau on April 1, 1971 . On January 1, 1972, this was dissolved and Neumühle was incorporated into Dentlein.
