The Lower Saxony Tennis Association (NTV) is the umbrella organization of the Lower Saxony tennis clubs . In 1952 the NTV was founded. The main office is in Bad Salzdetfurth, where today's state training center was established in 1981. The former performance center of the NTV has three indoor and four outdoor spaces. Around 1,200 clubs and 130,000 active tennis players are currently part of the Lower Saxony Tennis Association, which is a member of the German Tennis Association . It is the fourth largest sports association in Lower Saxony and the third largest national association of its sport.

structure

The NTV originally consisted of the four districts of Braunschweig , Hanover , Lüneburg - Stade and Weser-Ems . Due to the structural reform in 2011, the division into the four districts was dissolved. The Lower Saxony Tennis Association is now divided into 15 regions. The division into the original 16 regions (previously there was a merger of two regions) also brought about a restructuring of the divisions.

Tennis base

The tennis base in Hanover has been a federal base for young and future professional players since 2007, which enables young people to participate in a school at the same time. Nicolas Kiefer is currently working as a consultant at the tennis base, and Sabine Lisicki , Julia Görges and Anna-Lena Grönefeld also use the facility for training.
