Nocatee is a census-designated place (CDP), i. H. a settlement area defined for statistical purposes, in St. Johns County in the US state of Florida with 4524 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Nocatee is about 25 km north of St. Augustine and about 30 km south of Jacksonville .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 4524 inhabitants at that time were distributed among 1783 households. The population density was 74.4 inh / km². 87.7% of the population identified themselves as whites , 4.0% as African American , 0.1% as Indians and 3.7% as Asian Americans . 1.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.4% to several ethnic groups. 7.6% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 51.3% of all households and persons aged 65 and over lived in 16.3% of all households. 83.1% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring).
