Villano Beach is a census-designated place (CDP) in St. Johns County in the US state of Florida with a population of 2,678 (as of 2010).

Villano Beach is located on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway on the east coast of Florida. The CDP borders the city of St. Augustine in the southwest , is about 60 km south of Jacksonville and is crossed by Florida State Road A1A . The place is connected to the mainland by the Francis and Mary Usina Bridge .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 2678 inhabitants were distributed over 1841 households. The population density was 582.2 inh / km². 96.1% of the population identified themselves as whites , 0.4% as African American , 0.6% as Indians and 1.0% as Asian Americans . 0.8% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.0% to several ethnic groups. 3.8% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 32.9% of all households lived in 19.0% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 64.5% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.16 and the average family size was 2.57.

16.2% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 15.4% were 20 to 39 years old, 35.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 32.7% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 52 years. 49.8% of the population were male and 50.2% were female.

The median annual income was $ 53,897, with 11.4% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 97.59% of the population and Spanish spoke 2.41%.
