The Nolte State Park is a 117 acre (47 ha) of large State Park in the State of Washington about 6 mi (10 km) northeast of Enumclaw and directly south of Cumberland on the western border of the Cascade Range . It contains 7,174 ft (2,187 m) of the shores of Deep Lake near the Green River . The property was a resort many years earlier and was donated to the state by Minnie Nolte in the early 1970s. In the lake are rainbow trout , coastal cutthroat trout , sockeye , crappies and catfish before. At the lake there is a public pier for fishing, a beach and a hiking trail around the lake. The slipway for boats is only used for deployment, parking is only possible from time to time. The Deep Lake has an area of 39 acres (16 hectares) and is a maximum of 76 ft (23 m) deep.
