The Crawford State Park is a nearly 20-hectare state park north of Metaline in Pend Oreille County in the State of Washington .

In the park near the Canadian border is the “Gardner Cave”, the third largest limestone cave in Washington. The accessible cave is over 300 meters long and contains not only stalactites and stalagmites but also sinter steps .

The park is only open during the day and does not have any camping facilities on site.

history

The "Gardner Cave" is named after Edward E. Gardner, who is said to have discovered the cave around 1899. The state park is named after William H. Crawford, who owned the park and chartered it to the state in 1921.
