Parker is a city in Bay County in the US state of Florida with 4,317 inhabitants (as of 2010).
geography
Parker is directly adjacent to the cities of Callaway and Springfield . The city is about 5 km east of Panama City and about 150 km west of Tallahassee .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 4,317 inhabitants were distributed over 2,310 households. The population density was 863.4 inh / km². 78.5% of the population identified themselves as whites, 12.5% as African American , 0.9% as Indians and 2.5% as Asian Americans . 1.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 4.3% to several ethnic groups. 5.6% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 28.6% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 29.7% of all households. 63.4% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.32 people and the average family size was 2.82 people.
23.6% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 25.4% were 20 to 39 years old, 27.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 23.4% were 60 years or older. The mean age was 41 years. 48.7% of the population were male and 51.3% were female.
The median annual income was $ 43,514, with 11.3% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 96.32% of the population, 1.60% spoke German and 2.08% had another mother tongue.

Parker is crossed by US Highway 98 ( SR 30A ) and Florida State Road 30 . The Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is located about 40 km northwest of the city.

The crime rate was 394 points in 2010 (US average: 266 points) in the average range. There was one murder, four rapes, one robbery, nine assaults, 73 break-ins, 116 thefts and 17 car thefts.
