Pascal Pelletier (born June 16, 1983 in Labrador City , Labrador ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with SC Langenthal in the second-rate Swiss League since January 2019 .
Career
Pascal Pelletier began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian top junior league Québec Major Junior Hockey League , in which he was active from 2000 to 2004 for the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and Shawinigan Cataractes .
The attacker then played for two years in the ECHL for the Louisiana IceGators and the Gwinnett Gladiators , before he was signed to the Boston Bruins as a free agent on August 7, 2006, without ever having been drafted , for which he was in the 2007/08 season made his debut in the National Hockey League , where he remained in six games point and penalty. The rest of his three years in the Boston Bruins franchise spent the Canadian with their farm team from the American Hockey League , the Providence Bruins . On July 24, 2008, Pelletier was given in exchange for Martin St. Pierre to the Chicago Blackhawks , for whom he was on the ice seven times in the following season. The rest of the season, however, he spent with their AHL farm team, the Rockford IceHogs , for which he scored a total of 55 scorer points, including 29 goals, in 71 games. For the 2010/11 season the Canadians moved to Switzerland to the SCL Tigers , with whom he reached in a first season, the playoffs and in the first round with a sweep of the SC Bern lost.
In July 2013 Pelletier signed a two-year contract with the Vancouver Canucks , was only used in the AHL with the Utica Comets in the 2013/14 season except for three NHL games . Therefore, he decided to return to Europe in early summer and was signed by KHL Medveščak Zagreb from the Continental Hockey League , where he was the team's top scorer with 39 points in the 2014/15 season.
In June 2015 he moved to Admiral Vladivostok within the KHL .
He then played for Jokerit between December 2015 and the end of the 2015/16 season before returning to the Utica Comets in summer 2016.
