This happened two days later when he signed a try-out contract with the Portland Pirates of the AHL, the Arizona Coyotes' farm team, his last NHL team. After eight games in Portland, his contract was not renewed, so he found a new employer in the Manchester Monarchs (also AHL) in December 2014 . There, his initial trial contract was extended so that he won the Calder Cup with the Monarchs at the end of the season .
It remained with the team when it was relocated to California and henceforth operated under the name Ontario Reign . After the 2016/17 season, the attacker ended his active career, in which he had played over 200 NHL games. Then Bissonnette returned to the organization of the Coyotes and functions there as a commentator and analyst on radio broadcasts.
