Peter McRobbie (born January 31, 1943 in Hawick , Scottish Borders ) is a Scottish - American actor .

Life

McRobbie spent the first years of his life in Hawick, Scotland, as the son of the writer Mary Fleming (née Heigh) and the retailer William McRobbie. He and his family immigrated to the United States at a young age, where he grew up in Connecticut. He studied drama at Yale University .

From 2001 to 2012 he played the character of judge Walter Bradley in the television series Law & Order , Law & Order: New York , Law & Order: Trial by Jury and Conviction .

In 2012, McRobbie played the role of George H. Pendleton in Steven Spielberg's biopic Lincoln .

Since 2015, Marvel's Daredevil has appeared as Father Lantom in the comic series . In the same year he took on the role of Pop Pop in M. Night Shyamalan's horror film The Visit .

McRobbie has been married to the stage actress Charlotte Bova since 1977 and has two children. Since 2002 he has lived in South Orange, New Jersey.
