Location of the municipality

Posadas is a municipality in the province of Cordoba in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain . Posadas is 32 kilometers west of the provincial capital Córdoba on the A-431 road to Seville . The Guadalquivir River runs along the southern edge of the town, and the Sierra Morena low mountain range begins in the north - just a few hundred meters from the town center . Nearby places are Almodovar del Rio in the east, Palma del Rio in the west, Hornachuelos in the northwest and Fuente Palmera in the south.
