Primera División (Argentina) 1964

The 1964 Primera División was 34 . Playing time of the Argentine football league Primera División . The season began on April 26, 1964. The last game day was December 6, 1964. The Newell's Old Boys and Ferro Carril Oeste from the Primera B Nacional were promoted. The Boca Juniors finished the season as champions and thus succeeded CA Independiente . They qualified for the Copa Libertadores 1965 , for which the previous year's champion Independiente was also qualified, as they won the Libertadores Cup in 1964 . No teams had to relegate, as the league would be expanded by two teams to eighteen participants the following season.
