Pullendorf is a district of the town of Pottenstein in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth in northern Bavaria .

location

The hamlet is located in a forest clearing, about 6 km northeast of Pottenstein. A connecting road leads to Hohenmirsberg to state road 2163 .

history

Pullendorf is mentioned in a document for the first time in 1303 in connection with a Cunrad as "Billendorf". The place name means something like "village of Buolo". In 1362 Pullendorf was run as a fiefdom of the Landgraves of Leuchtenberg .

The district of the former municipality of Hohenmirsberg in what was then the district of Pegnitz was incorporated into Pottenstein together with its main town in the course of the municipal reform in 1972.
