Regenthal is a district of Pottenstein in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth in northern Bavaria .
On May 1, 1978 Regenthal was incorporated into Pottenstein.
history
The first documentary mention of the name Regenthal can be found in 1415. In 1457 Engelhardt von Wichsenstein collected the tithe . Around 1730 there were 16 estates in Regenthal. In the 1810s, the Bavarian cadastre shows Regenthal as an anger village with 17 farms, which by 1860 had increased to around 25 estates.
Geography and transport links
Regenthal is located south of the core town of Pottenstein on State Road St 2163 . The B 2 runs southeast of the village and the A 9 a little further away to the east .
