history
In the late Middle Ages, Rützengrün belonged to the Auerbach manor as an accessory and was parish in Auerbach until 1924. Over the years, a manor of its own was built in Rützengrün, which was first mentioned in 1411 as Ruczengrune , which means the settlement of a Rizzo or Ruzzo.
The manor owners included the two noble families von Wolffersdorff and the noble von der Planitz, before it passed into civil hands in 1847 to the owner Wilhelm Friedrich Günther. In 1741 the manor was given a legal status. It was looted during the Thirty Years War.
Rützengrün belonged to the Electoral Saxon Office of Plauen until 1806 and came with this to the Kingdom of Saxony .
