Community structure

The community of Bösenbrunn was formed on April 1st, 1994 from the formerly independent communities:

  • Bösenbrunn with the hamlets of Beucholdsgrün , Kulm and Untertriebelbach .
  • Bobenneukirchen with the districts Burkhardtsgrün , Engelhardtsgrün , Pfaffenberg and Zettlarsgrün and the hamlets of Einsiedel , Höflein , Weidigt , Weißenstein and Zeche . The district of Dechengrün was demolished when the Dröda dam was built.
  • Ottengrün with the hamlet of Eibighäuser
  • Schönbrunn with the hamlets of An der Huth (on Dockelsberg), Obertriebelbach and Huthaus (both near Lauterbach).

history

The 625th anniversary of the place in 2003 referred to the first documentary mention of Bösenbrunn in 1378. It is considered certain that the settlement is of much older origin, but there is no corresponding evidence.

The place name can be interpreted from Middle High German as bad, not very productive source (= bad fountain ). Administratively, the village belonged to the Voigtsberg office , although particular affiliations to the Plauen office cannot be ruled out.

The center and origin of the settlement is the area just above the confluence of the Dorfbach and Triebelbach rivers. In this side valley, the so-called Weberbachgrund, there was an early German defense system, which was rediscovered in 1937 by the archaeologist Amandus Haase (1886–1947) (today the Bösenbrunn fairground). Since this ring wall island was on the manor floor, it can be assumed that a permanent house that has existed here for a long time has a protective function .

The manor Bösenbrunn appeared for the first time in 1440 as the Vorwerk of the von Sack zu Geilsdorf family and was explicitly referred to as a manor in 1536. Since at least 1560 it has also been the permanent residence of the noble family, as a Hans Sack zu Geilsdorf documented himself with the addition of Bösenbrunn that year . In the centuries that followed, the manor was owned by the von Tettau , Neidberg , Trützschler and Brandenstein families .

As evidenced by the alliance coat of arms above the entrance, today's building was erected by Philipp Ferdinand von Neidberg in 1727 . From 1783 the manor was civil property, first of the Seydel family, later Schaumberg, Wauer and Naumann. The last owner of the castle-like property (U-shaped complex open to the north with stables, distillery and servants' houses) was Wilhelm Koch from the Oelsnitz carpet dynasty until it was expropriated in 1945. Later the house served as a school, seat of the municipal administration, home of the clubs and inn.

To Bösenbrunn include Mühlleithe , Kulm , Untertriebelbach and the individual property Klinger stone and Beucholdsgrün. Mühlleithe connects seamlessly to the main village on the slope of the Triebelbach. Untertriebelbach is two kilometers up in the Triebelbachtal and was originally a mining settlement. The clearing settlement Kulm is located in a north-westerly direction at 480 meters above sea level. The hamlet appeared for the first time in 1681 in a loan letter for Adam Ulrich II. Von Neidberg on Bösenbrunn and Planschwitz and is documented in 1752.

There was once a sheep farm on the Klingerstein northeast of the village, today the elevation is only a field name. The individual property Beucholdsgrün, 530 meters above sea level, is located at the end of the village in the direction of Bobenneukirchen and, as a late settlement - the first reference dates back to 1862 - may have received its name from the former owner of the parcel.

All districts, with the exception of one house in Untertriebelbach, were part of the Bösenbrunn parish, which existed from 1497 to 1856. The church, which was extensively renovated in the 1990s, is elevated above the town center.

In the past, mining was particularly influential in Bösenbrunn. Copper , tin and iron , and occasionally also nickel, were extracted in almost 30 mines . Pearl fishing was important in Triebelbach, and the Schmirler family in Oelsnitz held the monopoly on this. The Pechsiederei was operated in Bösenbrunn until 1885 under the manor owner Karl Friedrich Wauer (1806 to 1890). Two herds of greaves and the former Pechhütte ( Bräuhaus ) still testify to this today .

The beginnings of the school system in Bösenbrunn are still in the dark. Exact news is only known with the merger of the parishes of Bösenbrunn and Dröda in 1856. In 1857 Karl Friedrich Dietz (1835 to 1912) was appointed church school teacher, who held the office until 1901. For a long time the school building was the parish loan on Hauptstrasse, which was demolished in 1983 due to its poor state of construction.

After 1945 the former manor served as a school, which meant its salvation. Because the Soviet occupiers had intended it to be demolished because of its stately character. The Bösenbrunn children have been taught in Bobenneukirchen and Oelsnitz since 1966 . When the Dröda dam was built between 1964 and 1971, the Dechengrün district of Bobenneukirchen was completely demolished.

The 19th century brought a boom for handicrafts, trade and small businesses. From 1880 to the present day 123 business registrations can be verified, including three local inns. Agriculture has always been of great importance to Bösenbrunn. The centuries-old rural structures were replaced by the LPG Friedrich Engels , founded in 1953 , which has been part of the Schönbrunn cooperative since 1958. Agrofarm 2000 GmbH Eichigt now cultivates the extensive arable land.

The oldest establishment in the Bösenbrunn association system can be considered to be that of the local volunteer fire brigade in 1874, which emerged from an already existing syringe association. In 1925 the gymnastics and sports club and the Harmonie singing association were added, later also the workers' cycling club, the military and savings association. With the exception of the last two clubs and the volunteer fire brigade , the clubs were banned by the National Socialists from 1933. Today, in addition to the volunteer fire brigade, there is the sports club founded in 1961 as BSG Traktor Bösenbrunn and the Bösenbrunn fire brigade support association, which was launched in 1994 .

The place Bösenbrunn has 220 inhabitants today, the highest number of inhabitants was 546 immediately after the end of the Second World War.

Religions

The whole region is evangelical-Lutheran . The church relations of Bösenbrunn existed from the beginning to Oelsnitz. This is where the village was parish before he received the church building that still exists today in 1597 with Nicolaus Zimmermann, his first own pastor and in 1615/1617 on the initiative of the manor owner Joachim von Neidberg.

The parish of Bösenbrunn, the smallest and worst- paid of the Ephorie Oelsnitz, included next to Bösenbrunn Kulm, Untertriebelbach, except for one house, the Klingerstein and four houses by Untertriebel.

In 1856 Bösenbrunn became a branch church of Dröda, a pastor looked after both parishes. Since 1955 Bösenbrunn has belonged to the parish of Taltitz , today the place is looked after by the Evangelical Lutheran parish of St. Jacobi, Oelsnitz.

Bobenneukirchen has been part of the sister communities Bobenneukirchen-Eichigt-Triebel / Posseck / Sachsgrün as a separate parish since 1996 with the "-Grün" villages of Burkhardtsgrün, Engelhardtsgrün, Ottengrün and Zettlarsgrün . In 2013 the sister congregations united to form Ev.-Luth. Dreieinigkeitskirchgemeinde Bobenneukirchen.

coat of arms

The four fields of the coat of arms symbolize the four districts. At the top right , on a green background, is the yellow pierced heart, which has been used as a seal motif in Bobenneukirchen since the 19th century. At the top left there is a green alder leaf on a yellow background, which on the one hand should stand as a talking motif for the district of Ottengrün, on the other hand it also illustrates the large population of alder in the area of this district. The divided board stands as a symbol for a well and thus a talking element for the districts of Schönbrunn and Bösenbrunn, whereby the blue color indicates the rich water resources in this area. The overturned mallets and irons symbolize mining, which was mainly carried out in the last two districts mentioned.
