Rattle and Hum is a studio album with live tracks by the Irish rock band U2 . The live recordings were made during the Joshua Tree Tour. In addition to original compositions, the album contains cover versions of the Beatles (Helter Skelter) and Bob Dylans ( All Along the Watchtower ) . Guest musicians include BB King , Bob Dylan, Benmont Tench , The Memphis Horns and The New Voices of Freedom on the album. The album was released parallel to the concert film U2: Rattle and Hum .

The album reached both in the US and in the UK number one on the charts.
