Raymond R. Earhart

Raymond R. Earhart (born April 14, 1879 in Ohio , † May 8, 1967 in Tucson , Arizona ) was an American trader, mining developer and politician ( Democratic Party ).

Career

Raymond R. Earhart was born in Ohio in 1879. Nothing is known about his youth. He moved to the Arizona Territory in 1906 and settled in Patagonia ( Santa Cruz County ). In the following years he worked there as a trader and mining developer. He served two terms as sheriff , two terms as treasurer of Santa Cruz County, and one term as MP in the Arizona House of Representatives . From 1921 to 1923 he served as State Treasurer of Arizona . At the time of his candidacy for the post of State Treasurer, he was living in Nogales . Earhart moved to Tucson, Pima County , around 1948 and pursued real estate business there. In 1954 he ran for a seat in the Arizona House of Representatives.

Earhart died at Elks Hospital in Tucson in 1967 at the age of 88 . He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
