Vernon S. Wright

Vernon S. Wright (born September 19, 1889 in North Manchester , Indiana , † October 19, 1934 in Phoenix , Arizona ) was an American politician ( Democratic Party ).

Career

Vernon S. Wright, son of Minnie Emanda Stair (1869-1957) and Frank B. Wright (1864-1950), was born in 1889 in Wabash County . Before 1903, the family moved to Fort Wayne ( Allen County ) and then from there in 1903 in the Arizona Territory , where the family in Phoenix, Maricopa County settled. In the following years he was chamberlain of Maricopa County. From 1925 to 1927 he served as State Treasurer of Arizona.

After his in 1909 with Iona Franklin (1892-1951) first marriage had failed, he married before 1926 Gladys Irene Coblentz (1901-1986), who was born in Indiana. As of the 1940 census , the couple had a 14-year-old son named Vernon S. Wright, Jr., and a 9-year-old son named Paul Joseph Wright . His widow was 38 years old at the time.

Vernon S. Wright died in 1934 at the age of 45. His grave is in the Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
