David F. Johnson

David F. Johnson (also David Frederic Johnson , born August 21, 1871 in Fayetteville , Washington County , Arkansas , † January 21, 1951 in Tucson , Pima County , Arizona) was an American politician ( Democratic Party ).

Career

The Johnson family moved to Texas in 1882 . David F. Johnson spent the next 21 years there. Nothing more is known about his youth. In 1903 he moved to the Arizona Territory . Johnson in 1911 for the first State Treasurer of Arizona elected. He held the post from 1912 to 1915. He was then appointed State Examiner . In 1916 he successfully ran for another term as State Treasurer of Arizona. Johnson held the post from 1917 to 1919. He then served on the Arizona Corporation Commission from 1919 to 1924 . According to the 1940 census , he lived with his wife Edna (* 1878 in Texas) in Maricopa County (Arizona).
