Rebecca Preston (born September 4, 1979 ) is a triathlete from Australia and multiple Ironman winner (2005, 2006, 2007).

Career

Rebecca Preston has been a professional triathlete since 2003 and was initially trained by Brett Sutton . In May 2004 she was fourth at the Triathlon World Cup in Portugal in the 25-29 year class.

At her first Ironman start, she was able to achieve the gold medal in Sherborne in Great Britain in 2005 . In 2006 she won the Ironman in Zurich and only two weeks later she was also victorious in Klagenfurt.

In October 2007 she was fifth at the Ironman Hawaii (Ironman World Championships). In the 2008 season, however, she could not reach the finish line in five of the six Ironman starts.

In 2010 Preston moved back to Sunshine Coast (Queensland) to continue her career as a teacher.

In January 2015, Brett Sutton announced that Rebecca Preston - who had started again as an amateur the last eighteen months before - would join his team trisutto alongside Nicola Spirig , Daniela Ryf and Mary Beth Ellis .

It has not appeared internationally since 2015.
