Morrison II government
The Morrison II government is the ruling government of Australia since May 29, 2019 . It is a coalition government of the Liberal Party (LIB) and the National Party (NPA).
background
After Prime Minister Turnbull lost the vote for the Liberal party leadership to Treasury Secretary Scott Morrison on August 24, 2018 , Morrison also took over the office of Prime Minister. The government was able to defend its majority in the parliamentary election on May 18, 2019 . Prime Minister Morrison formed a new government on May 29, 2019.
