Morrison I Government
The Morrison I government replaced the Turnbull II government on August 28, 2018 and ruled Australia until May 29, 2019. It was a coalition government of the Liberal Party (LIB) and the National Party (NPA).
background
In the parliamentary elections on July 2, 2016 which won Labor Party added, but failed with 69 of the 150 parliamentary seats absolute majority. The Liberal Party had 60 members, the National Party 16. Turnbull remained Prime Minister of a coalition of Liberals and National Party. After Turnbull's vote for the Liberal party chairmanship against Treasury Secretary Scott Morrison on August 24, 2018, Morrison also took over the office of Prime Minister. The government was able to defend its majority in the parliamentary election on May 18, 2019 .
