Robert "Rob" Schroeder (born May 11, 1926 in El Dorado , Arkansas , † December 3, 2011 in Dallas , Texas ) was an American racing driver .

Career

Little is known about the racing activities of Rob Schroeder, born in El Dorado in 1926. Only his start at the US Grand Prix in 1962 is in the motorsport statistics. Schroeder drove a Lotus 24 that John Mecom had reported for him. Mecom had taken the car from Rob Walker on loan. With seven laps behind the winner Jim Clark , who also drove a Lotus , Schroeder was classified in tenth place.
