Amphoe Ron Phibun ( Thai : อำเภอ ร่อนพิบูลย์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat . The province of Nakhon Si Thammarat is located in the southern region of Thailand , about 780 km south of Bangkok on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula to the Gulf of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from west): Thung Song , Lan Saka , Phra Phrom , Chaloem Phra Kiat , Cha-uat and Chulabhorn districts of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province .

- In Ron Phibun District is located on the south line of Bangkok to Su-ngai Kolok (on the eastern border crossing to Malaysia the "Khao Chum Thong Jn." (Khao Chum Thong Junction) Khao Chum Thong turnoff ). The rarely traveled side route that branches off at Khao Chum Thong leads to the city center of Nakhon Si Thammarat .
Attractions
There is a national park in the Ron Phibun district :
- Namtok Yong National Park (Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ น้ำตก โยง ) with around twelve waterfalls and spectacular viewpoints, such as the 1350 meter high Yod Khao Men ( ยอด เขา เหม น )

Amphoe Ron Phibun is divided into six communities ( tambon ) , which in turn are divided into 61 villages ( muban ) .

Local administration
There are three small towns ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the county:
- Ron Phibun ( เทศบาล ตำบล ร่อน พิปูน ย์ ) consists of the entire tambon Ron Phibun,
- Hin Tok ( เทศบาล ตำบล หิน ตก ) consists of the entire Tambon Hin Tok,
- Khao Chum Thong ( เทศบาล ตำบล เขา ชุม ทอง ) consists of the entire tambon Khuan Koei.
There are also five “tambon administration organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ) for the tambon or the parts of tambon in the county that do not belong to any town.
