The ski jumping complex RusSki Gorki ( Russian Комплекс для прыжков с трамплинов «Русские Горки" / complex dlja pryschkow s tramplinow "Russkiye Gorky" ) includes several ski jumps in Esto-Sadok , a district of Sochi in Russia .
history
Two event centers were built for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi : the so-called coastal center (Прибрежный кластер) in the Adler district with its six characteristic large halls for 75,000 spectators and the so-called mountain center (Горный кластер) in the area around the Krasnaya settlement Polyana . The mountain center comprises five bases: Laura for cross-country skiing and biathlon, Rosa Chutor for alpine competitions and the extreme park Rosa Chutor for snowboarding and freestyle, Sanki for bobsleigh and tobogganing and the ski jumps called RusSki.
For around 50 million euros, two ski jumps of the categories K 125 and K 95 with a ski jumping stadium for 7,500 were built in the small settlement Esto-Sadok, which was originally founded by Estonian emigrants near the newly built hotel town Alpika-Servis on the north slope of the Aibga ridge Spectator.
The construction of the two ski jumps was originally supposed to last from 2009 to August 2011, but in the summer of 2013 the ski jumping stadium was still a major construction site and covered by thick clouds of dust when the wind was strong. The large hill was used on a trial basis for FIS competitions in 2012 without spectators.
International competitions
Between 2012 and 2014 a total of ten official competitions took place on the hill. In 2018, two more competitions in the FIS Cup were planned, but they were not held. All jumping competitions organized by the FIS are named.
