The Ruta 11 is a state highway in the South American Andean country Bolivia .

Routing

The road has a length of 370 kilometers and crosses the south of Bolivia from west to east, from the eastern edge of the Cordillera Oriental to the border with Paraguay in the east. The road leads through the eastern provinces of the Tarija Department . It begins in the west as a junction from the north-south leading Ruta 1 eight kilometers east of Tarija at the village of Portillo and ends in the east at the village of Cañada Oruro .

Except for smaller sections, the Ruta 11 is completely paved.

history

The western 243 km of Ruta 11 have been declared part of the Bolivian national road network " Red Vial Fundamental " by decree 25.134 of August 31, 1998 , the remaining 127 km to the border with Paraguay by law 2187 of April 12, 2001 .
