Konrad Saaßen

Konrad Saaßen (born March 8, 1886 in Fischeln , Krefeld district ; † September 18, 1937 in Cologne ) was a German administrative lawyer and worked as a district administrator in the Krefeld district (1920-1922) and as district president in Trier (1922-1936).

Life

His parents were Albert Saaßen, landowner and Alwine von Danwitz .

Career

After his high school at the high school in Krefeld graduated Saaßen a degree in law and political science , which he successfully completed. In Freiburg he became a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Ripuaria Freiburg im Breisgau im CV . On November 8, 1911, Saaßen received his doctorate as Dr. iur. at the University of Würzburg . He then joined the court service. Saaßen took an active part in the First World War from 1914 to 1918 . After his return to civil life, he worked in the district court and the city administration of Krefeld. On January 24, 1920 he was appointed provisional district administrator. His final appointment as district administrator in the Krefeld district took place on August 1, 1920. On September 16, 1922, he was appointed district president in Trier . During his tenure, Saaßen was expelled on January 24, 1923 by the Interallied Rhineland Commission (IRKO) and was only able to resume his office in Trier on October 6, 1924. His retirement took place on January 18, 1936.

In October 1930 he was appointed " Reich Commissioner for the Suburban Allotment Garden " which Saaßen held until July 1932.
