Saint-Lô Agglo (before 2017) is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy . The community association was founded on April 9, 2013 and comprised 60 communities. The administrative seat was in the city of Saint-Lô .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2014 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

  • Communauté de communes du Canton de Marigny,
  • Communauté de communes du Canton de Tessy-sur-Vire,
  • Communauté de communes du Canton de Torigni-sur-Vire,
  • Community de communes de l'Elle,
  • Communauté de communes de la Région de Daye and
  • Saint-Lô agglomeration.

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes de Canisy and thus formed the successor organization of the same name, Saint-Lô Agglo . Despite the same name, it is a start-up with a different legal personality.
