Saint-Georges-Montcocq is a French commune of the department , some 919 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region of Normandy . Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Pont-Hébert (until 2015: canton of Saint-Lô-Ouest ) and the arrondissement of Saint-Lô . The inhabitants are called Montcocquois .
geography
Saint-Georges-Montcocq is located about two kilometers north of the city center of Saint-Lô . In the west and southwest of the Vire delimits the community. Saint-Georges-Montcocq is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Meauffe in the north, Le Mesnil-Rouxelin in the east, Saint-Lô and Agneaux in the south and Rampan in the west and northwest.
