Saint-Lô Agglo is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy . The community association was founded on January 1, 2017 and comprises 61 communities (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative headquarters are in the city of Saint-Lô .
Historical development
The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations
Despite having the same name as one of the predecessor organizations, it is a start-up with a different legal personality.
On January 1, 2018, the municipalities of Le Hommet-d'Arthenay and Pont-Hébert were merged to form Commune nouvelle Pont-Hébert.
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Le Mesnil-Herman and Soulles and the former Commune nouvelle Bourgvallées were merged into the Commune nouvelle Bourgvallées of the same name . This reduced the number of member communities to 61.
