history
Sandy River belonged to the large plantation Dallas Plantation, organized in 1845 . Originally this was called Plantations 2 and 3 in the first range and 2 and 3 in the second range of townships , together with T3 R1 WBKP , today Rangeley Plantation, T2 R2 WBKP , today Dallas Plantation and T3 R2 WBKP , today the Town Rangeley, designated. When multiple township plantations were banned in 1859, the area was reorganized so that residents could continue to exercise their voting rights. The plantation was finally organized in 1905.
