Schaal Sels Merksem

Schaal Sels Merksem is a Belgian cycling race .

Schaal Sels is a one-day race that leads through the surroundings of the Merksem district of Antwerp . The competition has been held since 1921 and takes place in late August or early September. The race has been part of the UCI Europe Tour since 2005 and is classified in category 1.1.

The race leads, among other things, over dirt roads and cobblestones. In 2018, the natural roads and cobblestone sectors were transferred to the new Antwerp Port Epic race and Schaal Sels will now take place on an approximately 13-kilometer circuit in Merksem.
