Prantseck Castle

The Prantseck Castle is a former castle in Bad Aibling .

history

Prantseck Castle was built by the Lords of Prant in the 16th century as a new noble seat above the Hofmühle. However, the noble family died out shortly afterwards, so that the property changed hands several times in the following centuries. It was expanded in the 17th and 18th centuries. The castle park dates from the 19th century.

Prantseck Castle served as a health clinic for several years. There was also a public indoor swimming pool operated by an interest group. At the beginning of October 2013 it was closed due to the risk of collapse.

A possible conversion to a retirement home is currently being discussed.
