The Postal Lintburg even Limburg or Postal Attel called, is an Outbound hilltop castle on 480 m above sea level. NHN 1000 meters north-northeast of the Attel Abbey above the Inn near Limburg , a district of the town of Wasserburg am Inn in the Rosenheim district in Bavaria .
The castle was built in the 12th century by the Counts of Attel as their ancestral seat. When the count family later moved their seat to the northeastern castle Wasserburg , Count Engelberg von Attel handed over Lintberg Castle to the Attel Abbey in 1137 .
