The Pullach Castle is a former noble residence in the district of Pullach the Upper Bavarian municipality Kolbermoor .

history

The builders of the castle were the Lords of Auer. It was first mentioned in a document in 1430. In 1625, after the Auer family died out, the castle was inherited from the von Hundt zu Falkenstein family. In 1642 it was auctioned by Count Johann Wilhelm von Lamberg and remained in the family for a long time. In 1804 it was sold to Georg Benedikt von Schneid, after which there were frequent changes of ownership. From 1878 to 1908 it was owned by the von Poschinger knights who, from 1880 to 1887, initiated the reconstruction of the castle to its present appearance. From 1908 to 1935 it was owned by the Tregler family, after which it was sold to the von Kramer family. In 1942 it was sold to the Lilienthal Society for Aviation Research. In 1945 it was taken over by the Bavarian tax office. From 1949 it was used by the Free State of Bavaria as a refugee home. In 1964 the castle was acquired by Max Böhler, and in 1976 by Prince Hermann von Sachsen. In 1979, Theophana von Sachsen built a Bulgarian Orthodox chapel in the castle. In 1997/98 the castle was renovated again by the new owner Bernhard Schurzmann and became the seat of the Sat Gesellschaft für Automatisierungstechnik mbH .

Pullach Castle is a former noble residence. The moated castle is a four-sided complex on an old castle stable with two-storey buildings with hipped slate roofs, western tower with tent roof, eastern risalit with hipped roof, southern gable risalit with gate passage in the style of historicism. The associated park with old trees dates from around 1900. Parts of the former moat were filled in after 1945.
